Private Physics Tutoring Now Considered a High-Paying Job

Singapore - Private tutors across the country now enjoys higher rates, reports Alibaba Printing. In a recent survey, O Level Physics tuition tutors now have 60% higher per hour rates compared to those who are working as a full-time office clerk. It is also surprising to learn that those who specializes in Physics tuition can work 3-4 hours less and still get paid the same rate as the daily wage of a private school teacher. But for most tutors, they only deserve the new rates. “It is not an easy job, really. Tutoring is not like teaching at a regular school; it is much more difficult. Here we deal with each student one by one. We teach according to the student’s own pace, as opposed to the teacher’s pace when teaching at a classroom,” says Laiza Wong, a tutor at Singapore Physics Tuition Tutorial Centre.

Two years ago, the hourly rate of tutors at JC Physics Tuition was just around $17 to $22 per hour and they did not have any benefits or paid leave back then. On the other hand, private tutors at the Centre of Physics Tuition Singapore were earning a bit higher, ranging from $19 to $25. Nowadays, both tuition centres comply to the standards of rates set by https://physicstuitionsg.com/. “It’s now a very lucrative job. We work less and get paid high. We can even double our earnings by having another job on the side. Actually, I also work as an ESL teacher after my shift at the tutoring school.” Laiza Wong has been working as a physics tutor for almost a year now.
